Registration and refund policies for our classes
We are very happy to sign you up for any of our classes on a first come first served basis.
PLEASE pay in full when registering to guarantee your space in the class and to purchase materials. Your Confirmation will be by phone. or e-mail. As classes fill up, sign-ups who have not yet paid will be dropped from the list to make room for confirmed students. Payments are refundable up to one week prior to class. Note A $15.00 non-refundable fee will be retained for administrative purposes. We will make no refunds after the first day of class.
Please note, Class may be canceled if a minimum number of students ( 6 ) is not met and all money will be refunded.

1-We accept most credit cards by phone.
2- Payments can be made in person by visiting the herb farm.
3- Payment by check mailing your name, address, phone number, and title of class when registering.
-Payments are refundable up to one week prior to class. A $15.00 non-refundable fee will be retained for instructor preparation.

Reconnect with the earth. Reconnect with yourself. Join us for a mindful Yoga practice in the tranquil outdoor sanctuary at Maggies Herb Farm. Soothe body and mind in the fresh air grounded on natural crushed granite empowered as we practice yoga surrounded by beautiful butterflies, herbs, hummingbirds and free to run through chickens. We start with meditative centering and transition to gentle warm up postures and conclude with integrative relaxation. You will learn the 9 breath method, 5 element qigong, and the opening graceful Cheng Man-Ch’ing tai chi form. After 3 hours

The Joy of Tea Blending Sunday Feb 4, 2018 from 1-4 pm
Did you know that by switching out one or two beverages a day with an herbal tea you can look and feel healthier and possibly even live longer? In this fun workshop you will learn the benefits of many types of tea and blend your own delicious teas. Learn about ancient tribal teas useful for infections and cancers. Kombucha brewing February 18, 2018 Sunday time 2:00 PM-4:00 PM

Fermented Beverages
Join us in learning the kitchen wisdom of healing fermented beverages. We will learn the method of brewing kombucha tea and how to grow and use a 'ginger bug' to make your very own probiotic sodas. We will address how to use herbs in flavoring our creations and also touch upon water kefir and jun as other alternatives to kombucha. Each class participant will take home their own kombucha scoby so they can begin brewing at home-along with a helpful written guide. There will be plenty of fermented sodas and drinks to taste test! Teacher Kristin Adamczyk Class fee $25 materials included 

 

 

Maggie's Farm Herb Walk + Yoga + Reiki Retreat
Saturday, Feb. 24, 10:00-2:00

Reconnect with the earth, reconnect with yourself, nourish body & mind and restore the senses in the natural beauty of Maggie’s Herb Farm in Springtime.

This retreat will begin at 10:00 with a Spring Herb Walk led by Farm owner Dora who will guide you on a relaxing flavor and fragrance experience highlighting edible fresh Spring flowers. Learn about landscape and superfood plants that you can incorporate into your own yards and smell and taste the unique differences of culinary herbs. The Walk will restore and delight your senses as you unwind into the beautiful natural Spring surroundings of The Farm.
Following the tour prepare for deep nourishment of body & mind as you are guided through a peaceful and gentle Kripalu yoga practice led by Cheryl Steven in the beautiful sanctuary of the Studio Botanica. The practice will conclude with an integrating extended relaxation (shavasana) that will include the offering of the gift of healing Reiki energy shared by talented Reiki Master and Certified Laughology Instructor Eva Toutain.
Immediately following prepare to be further nourished by a delicious and healthy lunch provided by Manatee Café. Sample lunch will include: Vegetarian wrap, hummus and tabouli, vegetarian soup with bread, and desserts including Vegan Cherry Oat Bars. Beverages will include herbal tea, kombucha, and more.

Afterward, feel free to linger and relax as we join with community for frivolity and replenishment of soul.

Beginning Soap Making Sunday, Feb 25, 2018 Time 1:00 PM-4:00 PM
In this class you learn how soap is made from a variety of oils and any sent imaginable. You will learn which
oils make soap hard, soft, bubbly, conditioning and cleaning. Learn about coloring your soaps and making them
into different shapes using the molds available. Enjoy this fun hands on class and take home your very own one pound loaf that can be cut into 6 bars for your bathing experience or gift giving. Instructor Alan Trace $40
